Home from the Scrap Get-away 4 day weekend!

Wow! What a great time we all had in Sugarcreek, Ohio. I attended a four day scrap get-away. This was the first time that she held a four day crop. They are usually only three days. Well, it was well worth the extra day! Since I am making the favor boxes for my son's wedding I used this time to cut at least 351 boxes using Tags Bags and More cartridge. They are ready to be assembled. My cricut was humming the entire time. I never had to change the blade and I multi-cut 2 times to be sure of a clean cut. I used the 12 x 24 mat and was able to cut six boxes out in one cut. We are inviting around 400 but I don't think that many will show. Therefore, I thought that 351 was a good number to stop at until the rsvp results come in in July. They are going to fill these boxes with pastel M&Ms. I went to Hollo's paper store to buy paper in bulk. I only could get 8 1/2 x 11 in a purple marble. There was no 12 x 12 in her color of purple! This is as close to the purple that I can get but that is no problem because she loves all purples! A few friends have offered to come and help put the boxes together. It is something that I can do while watching TV with my husband. I also am posting some of the fun layouts that I made along with a Tim Holtz product book that I threw together the last night. The papers are from his new paper stack called Crowded Attic. I used sticky back canvas on the front cover. I really like this product and will use it again and again. I will probably add more photos or journal in it but I thought I would share it with you for now anyway. Now to get some much needed rest! I don't sleep much while on a crop get-away. I don't like wasting scrap time by sleeping! Ha!

So glad you had fun at your crop-so jealous. :) I love the palm tree cutouts. Great job on everything! :)
