Dream Canvas

This is a 12 x 12 inch wrapped multi medium canvas that just screams "deep!" Ha!  I love the old Stampers Anonymous Classic Favorite stamps.  I was very pleased with how this turned out!

Metal sheet and stickles

Here is a metal sheet that is embossed with the snowman then "painted" with stickles.  I also used stickles on the reindeer metal adornment.  Alcohol inks created the background.

Christmas Card

Here is a Christmas card that I designed and I made a matching envelope.  The green matting was actually packaging for something and I thought it made a great mat piece.

Christmas Canvas

Here is a 9 x 12 inch mixed media Christmas Canvas.  It has layers of stenciling and gesso dimensional gifts and tree.  The metal bells embellishment was colored using alcohol inks.  This would make a great seasonal decor item in your home.

Altered Metal

I am doing a challenge in Creative Chemistry 101 making altered metal.  This is a metal sheet that I have embossed with the snowman and "painted" with alcohol inks.  I stamped the snowflake star using archival ink.  I cut the mini pine tree out of grunge and painted it with dabbers  then painted a bit pf perfect pearls onto the pine.

Adding to the Artwork

I decided to stamp my large flower stamp using Archival orange ink then sprayed with Dylusions sprays and inked them in black to make them pop.  They were really bright....a bit too bright...so I covered them in Tim Holtz's Frosted Film.  http://vimeo.com/46197986    I hadn't heard about this product but ran into the one and only box at a scrap store that I frequent.  It toned the color down just right.  I adhered them with multi medium.to the canvas after stamping a border around the entire canvas.  I then decided to apply glossy accents to the stamped numerals.  Then I added some strings of dots using Crystal stickles.  The stickles dots took on the color that was underneath them.  I believe that I am done!

Having Fun...A Work in Progress

So now I am hooked on Dylusion sprays and methods of layering on canvas.  This is a 16 x 20 canvas.  I am trying to take a photo of each layer that I add....then I walk away for a bit until the next inspiration hits me.  I love the look and texture of gesso.  And I also realize that I need something to pop the colors.  I just have to decide what!  Maybe tomorrow will tell me what to do....oh how I love to create.....it clears my mind of all my troubles....  :)

Experimenting with Dylusions

I have decided to work on a canvas after being inspired by  a friend on CC FB page.  Nicole has created a monster in me.  I am learning as I go but I thought that I would post the canvas as I progress.  I forgot to take a picture of the canvas before adding the gesso flowers so I guess I am starting with step 2!  Who knows where this will end up!  The canvas is 16 x 20.
