Christmas Stuff

I made all of my Christmas cards and envelopes this year. Whew! That was a job! I enjoyed it but it took loads of time. The only thing that I didn't do was take a picture of each and every card. Not too many were the same and my husband said that I should have because I won't know if I sent the same card next year! So true! As you can see I duplicated the Hero Arts stamp of trees in different ink colors and gems. I also added some Kyron silver and gold trim on the outside of the cards for a different flare. But they were all unique in design and made with love. I also made a lot of vintage stamped cards using Tim Holtz Father Christmas stamps and I loved how they turned out but I didn't take pictures! How silly I am. Right now I am a bit burned out so I don't know if I will make them again next year. I did enjoy making lots of boxes and tags for gifts this year as well. I will post a few but I hate to spoil the surprise if my girls get on my blog site. I have worn my self out and I am feeling a bit under the weather now....blah.....Maybe by Christmas I will feel better.....Merry Christmas everyone!

'Tis the Season!

Well, I have been busy shopping and am trying to get everything done early this year so that I can do some creating as well as enjoying the lights, baking and my kids when they come home. Here are a few things that I have made. I love making these little boxes. The square ones are made following Martha Stewart's score pal instructions. I used my half circle punch to punch the lid. I attached some former tags that I made and have posted in earlier posts. I made the snowflake box using Wrap It Up cartridge. It was cut at 11 1/2 inches. I added the gems for some bling and made an extra snowflake just to jazz it up. I love the glittler paper that I used from DCWV Glitter Cardstock Stack. The Merry Christmas stamp on the card is from MPS Christmas stamp set. I had used the cuttlebug die cut to cut the trees and I used distress inks on them to color the trunks and pine. The red is a shimmer cardstock and I like how it shines. The "tag" card is simple but I love it. I just added a piece of holly with a brad for the berries and used sticky zots to adhere the tag that I had made and posted in a previous post. I have so much more that I want to do and so little time!!!! ha!

Busy Making Remember the Date Books

I have been busy finishing up some orders for some Birthday/Anniversay books. Here are three of them that I have finished. I have to just do the covers for two other ones and that will complete this order. I used distress inks and one of Tim Holtz masks. (the purple/red book is his mask) The other masks I made with my circut. I cut the shapes out and apply distress ink over top of them and then stamp over top of them. When you remove them you get the neat effect!

Christmas Cards

This past weekend long crop inspired me to create some more Christmas cards. I used a Hero Arts stamp for the blue/tree card and mypinkstamper's Christmas stamp for the sentiment, "Celebrate the Season". I added blue gems to the trunks of the trees. The idea for this card came from the Archivers store. The deer stamp was purchased at Michaels. I used a Kryon silver marker to make the border around the cards. I colored the deer with copic sketch markers. I ran the deer card's "Noel" through my cuttlebug using a brass stencil that I received as a gift from an order I had placed online. I then used Perfect Pearls to the Noel word to create the shimmer. The "word tree" I designed on my Gypsy but I got the idea from Denise at http://paperpastime.com/. I drew the main part of the word tree using a Chomas green glitter holder and pen. (http://amychomas.blogspot.com/) I colored the red berries and the inside of the letters manually using a Chomas red glitter pen. The inside stamps were purchased from Michaels. I made all of the envelopes for all three cards. The red envelope was a paper from Tim Holtz holiday stack. I love the inside santas showing on the envelope. P.S. I ran 4 miles at the gym tonight! Yeah!
