Tattered Floral Challenge

Well, I had to get inky today.  I have been in wedding mode as my daughter is getting married this July and I was starting to miss my inky fingers very much!  So, I finally completed some tattered floral challenge entries for Tim Holtz's blog.( ) You can't win if you don't play!  I used all kinds of Tim Holtz dies for this one.  The Tattered Florals Small Easel, Picture Wheel, and Sewing Room were put to use in this project. I used Distress Paints to paint the dress form which is cut out of thick card stock.  I then stamped a background stamp over top of it.  I love how the stamps just "pop" on top of the distress paints.  I mounted it onto a small easel using pop dots and made another small easel folded the opposite way and attached the 2 together so that It could stand on its own.
The picture wheel is cut out of a metal sheet and I embossed it using the Riveted Metal embossing folder.  I then used pitch black, copper and silver alcohol inks to color it.  The tattered flower attached to the picture wheel was cut out of glossy paper and then colored using various alcohol inks.  I inked the edges of the flowers and most of everything because I like the depth that it creates.  I used a hitch fastener for the center of the flower.
The bottom small flower was cut from grunge board and painted with distress paints and spritzed with water and then the edges were inked using black paint dabber. The center is just a covered button that I had.  I added the tissue tape to hide where the 2 small easels were glued together and I used walnut stain distress ink over the tape.  I added the blue tinsel scarf on the dress form to dress it up!  This was funky and fun to make!
