Working with a Different Kind of Paper

I just wanted to let you all know that I haven't disappeared!!!! I simply am working with a different kind of paper these days. I decided to strip the wall paper in my kitchen and re-decorate!!! Woo Hoo!!! What a job! I found my little old steamer and if it weren't for it I would never be able to get this off. My house is in dire need of re-decorating. I had been so busy with my kids for the past 20 years that I haven't had the time. No greater time than now when the snow is keeping us inside! A big blizzard is on its way so I will be scrape, scrape, scrapin' away!!!!! Here is a picture of the latest book that I made at my last weekend crop. The colors aren't as vivid because I took the pictures with my new phone. But they aren't bad considering that I used my phone camera. I bought this 6 x 6 inch grunge board book kit from Archivers. I used lots of distress inks and Tim Holtz masks and stamps. Most of the papers are from his paper pack as well. The back of the book is stamped with Tim's clock and wings meaning "time flies"! Ha! These are some really old photos that we took in a photo booth in Myrtle Beach some 25 years ago!!! I hope you all survive the blizzard!

  2. A beautiful book!! I too am a Tim Holtz junkie! :) I really love the mask clock on the back. I have not tried those yet but love the effect.

Congratulations on your redecorating project! I agree with Audrey about the wallpaper! There is no easy way to change wallpaper.

Stay warm...be safe...too much nasty weather out there!
